Caring for our communities together. Partnering for better health and wellness, within, and across our communities.
The Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team (HPE OHT) is a collaboration of health and social service providers who work together as a unified team to deliver integrated services and support to individuals in Hastings County, Prince Edward County, and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Finding the Right Care
This year, we can all help support our healthcare system during cold, flu, and COVID-19 season.
If you’re feeling unwell but it’s not an emergency, there are many places ready to help. Local cold, flu, and COVID-19 clinics and pharmacies can provide care and advice close to home.
You may also be able to get the help you need through virtual care, from the comfort of your own space.
By using the care options available in our community, we can all help keep healthcare running smoothly for everyone.

Health Equity
We are working to build a connected system of health, community, and social care that works better for everyone. By working together across partners, we aim to improve access, experiences, and outcomes so all residents have a fair opportunity to achieve their best possible health.
Our Values
Co-designed with patients, partners, and health system stakeholders, these values—empathy and compassion, respect and dignity, equity and inclusion, and accountability and trust—guide HPE OHT’s shared commitment to person-centred care.
Land Acknowledgement
HPE OHT delivers supports and services on lands that are the traditional territory of many nations, including the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe, Algonquin and the Haudenosaunee peoples. It is also directly adjacent to the Kenhte:ke – the Tyendinaga Nation. These territories are governed by the Dish with One Spoon wampum agreement. We share a responsibility to acknowledge and respect the culture and history of Indigenous peoples, who have inhabited and nurtured these lands for generations. We commit to centering our work of overall health and wellbeing for all residents, with particular consideration for Indigenous peoples and all equity-deserving populations in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
